A. COUNSELING & SUPPORT

What kind of counseling does the NOVUS Counseling Center provide?

We offer professional counseling and Christian counseling that integrates psychological insight with a whole-person approach. Our work is grounded in Christian values and shaped by Scripture, while also drawing from professional counseling methods that help us care for the whole person.

As Christians, we believe that the Bible is inspired by God and offers deep wisdom for understanding the human heart, relationships, and the meaning of life. We also believe that Jesus is the healer of healers, the One who restores people at the deepest level.

Because of this, Scripture and Christian formation shape the way we understand people, suffering, and hope. At the same time, we also draw from:

  • evidence-informed therapeutic practices
  • trauma-aware methods
  • psychological research
  • relational and emotional development
  • cultural sensitivity

This integrated approach allows us to serve people with professionalism, compassion, and respect for their story, background, and beliefs.

Do you offer counseling only in Warsaw, or also online?

We provide counseling in person at our counseling center in Warsaw, and we also offer online sessions for people anywhere in the world.

Counseling is available in English, Polish, Ukrainian and Russian making support accessible to individuals and families across different countries and contexts.

Do I need to be a Christian to receive counseling?

No.

We welcome anyone seeking support, regardless of their faith background.

Our counselors work with respect, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity, offering care that honors each person’s dignity and worldview.

Who provides the counseling? Are your counselors trained professionals?

Yes.

Our team includes trained professionals with preparation in:

  • counseling
  • trauma‑informed care
  • crisis intervention
  • Christian counseling
  • whole‑person support

We combine professional standards with a compassionate, relational approach.

B. ACADEMIC STUDIES (TC Studies)

What is Theology and Counseling Studies (TC Studies)?

TC Studies is an accredited Bachelor’s degree program that integrates theological education, Christian counseling, leadership formation, and mission training.

It equips students to serve others with wisdom, emotional maturity, and a deep understanding of both the human mind and the human soul.

Is the TC Studies program accredited and internationally recognized?

Yes.

The program is developed in partnership with WBST International Theological College in Warsaw and it is a fully accredited bachelor’s degree (180 ECTS).

ECTS is the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System, the standard used by universities across Europe to ensure international academic recognition.)

Because it follows the European Qualifications Framework, graduates can continue their studies at the master’s and doctoral levels across Europe and around the world.

What language are the studies offered in, and do I need to speak Polish?

The Theology and Counseling Studies (TC Studies) program is offered in three separate language tracks: English, Polish, and Spanish.

Each track has its own native-speaking faculty, so lectures are not translated but taught directly in the students’ language.

All three versions of the program are available both in-person and online, making TC Studies accessible to students from many nations and cultural backgrounds.

You do not need to speak Polish to participate; simply choose the language track that best fits your background and calling.

What kind of students apply to TC Studies? Do I need ministry experience?

TC Studies attracts a diverse group of students.

Many join the program right after finishing high school, choosing TC Studies as their university‑level path toward counseling, ministry, or people‑focused service. Others come with ministry experience, and some arrive from fields such as psychology, education, social work, or related areas.

What unites our students is a desire to serve people with integrity, compassion, and a commitment to whole‑person care.

C. NOVUS FOUNDATION & GIVING

How is the NOVUS Foundation funded?

NOVUS is supported through a combination of:

  • individual donors
  • churches and mission organizations
  • academic partnerships
  • grants and project‑based support

This shared investment allows us to strengthen communities, equip leaders, and expand access to counseling.

How will my donation be used?

Your gift makes counseling and formation accessible to people who would otherwise have no opportunity to receive help. It directly supports:

  • run a counseling center in Warsaw and expand services to other regions
  • counseling for refugees, especially those displaced by the war in Ukraine
  • offer online counseling to people who cannot access help locally
  • fund essential student scholarships, especially those from lower-income regions who study through the live-online format
  • equip leaders for ministry and counseling
  • develop local support systems
  • strengthen churches and communities
  • expand Christian counseling capacity across nations

Many of our students come from countries where access to accredited Christian counseling education is limited or non‑existent and financially out of reach. For many of them, relocating to Poland would be far too expensive. This is why it is much more effective, and a more responsible use of donor support, to bring the studies to them, to their families, churches, and local communities. Most students have access to the internet; often all they need is a laptop, support, and the assurance that someone believes in them and that they are loved.

Your support makes this possible. It allows Christians with calling, character, and readiness to serve to receive the training they could not pursue without assistance, right in their own communities where the impact multiplies naturally.

Can my church or organization partner with NOVUS?

Yes, please!

We love to collaborate with churches, theological institutions, and mission organizations.

Partnerships help expand counseling capacity, strengthen local leaders, and support academic formation.

How can I participate in mission trips or volunteer with NOVUS?

We offer opportunities for:

  • shortterm mission trips
  • specialized service projects
  • academic or professional volunteering
  • support roles in counseling development
