WHO WE ARE
Our Story
The NOVUS Foundation was born in 2022 in Warsaw, Poland, at a moment when thousands of families fleeing the war in Ukraine arrived carrying deep psychological and spiritual wounds. What began as a simple desire to help refugees quickly revealed a deeper truth: crisis relief alone is not enough.
We met people whose suffering touched every part of their lives: emotional, relational, and spiritual. Churches were doing their best to respond, yet many leaders felt unequipped to walk with individuals facing trauma, anxiety, and long‑term emotional strain. At the same time, many professionals in the therapeutic world longed for a deeper understanding of the spiritual realities shaping people’s lives.
From this experience a conviction emerged: care must be whole‑person care. People flourish when spiritual formation and emotional support work together, each honoring the other.
Throughout everything we do, we remain committed to prayer, dependence on God, and keeping Christ at the center of our work. We believe that true transformation is ultimately God’s work, and we seek to serve in ways that reflect His wisdom, compassion, and presence.
NOVUS grew from this calling. We equip people who will go on to serve others wherever God sends them. We strengthen churches, communities, and local leaders so they can offer care that is wise, sustainable, biblically grounded, and deeply human.
