    Why This Matters

Strengthening leaders and communities

We do not want to create dependence on foreign aid.

We equip local leaders, churches, and communities so they can serve their people wisely, competently, and sustainably.

What we do

We support the development of Christian counseling centers, prioritizing our own students and graduates because we know they are well‑equipped, well‑formed, and ready to serve with maturity and integrity. As they establish ministries in their churches and communities, we provide guidance, supervision, and practical know‑how so these centers can grow with stability and credibility.

We also offer short courses, training, and specialized initiatives that respond to real needs we encounter. One of these emerging areas is emotional and spiritual support for oncology patients. Over the last couple of years, a growing number of individuals facing different stages of cancer have reached out to us for counseling. Their gratitude and the positive impact of this support have shown us how deeply needed this ministry is. As NOVUS grows, we plan to expand this work so more patients and families can receive compassionate, Christ‑centered care during seasons of fear, uncertainty, and long‑term strain.

Concrete examples

We partner with churches and NGOs to establish:

  • counseling ministry or counseling centers
  • train volunteer counselors
  • support leaders who serve in high-stress environments

Our approach

We act locally, but think globally.

Many of our TC Studies graduates return to their churches and communities equipped to start counseling centers, lead support ministries, or strengthen existing care structures. Because our students come from more than 18 countries, this work can take root anywhere.

After graduation, NOVUS continues to walk with them wherever they serve, helping them build sustainable, culturally grounded, and locally led expressions of care.
